She was paired opposite Rahul Roy, a new comer for her first movie, Aashiqui. This was a musical hit,She got few movie offers,as she was not having face of a regular bollywood actress,She got author backed role with Khalnaika directed by Sawan Kumar Tak,she walked out with lot of praises for her negative role,She got Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Nominee for it.
Besides that she got an another biggie called King Uncle with Jacie Shroff,but most of her films were flops,so her career was not on positive side.She created a huge controversy by appearing topless in a movie named The Cloud Door (1995) directed by Mani Kaul. After 1996, she shifted her focus on to South Indian films. Since then,she disappeared following personal trauma and has recently re-surfaced and is presently seeking roles in Bollywood.
